Jude McQueen. Pleasant Valley ($220.00)
Fifth graders would visit the Albany Institute of History and Art and be trained in how to make self-portraits.

Elizabethy Mark. Mont Pleasant MS ($669.00)
51 ESL students will read a history of Schenectady, take a tour of the Stockade and create Power Point presentations.

Colette McCarthy et.al. Schenectady H. S. ($750.00)
Nature’s Classroom, a club to pay for speakers, for tools and supplies, and for trips.

Laura Buzas. Elmer Avenue: ($568.08)
Purchase leveled novels for SS & ELA to be read in lit. circles. 160 4th-6th grade students.

Patricia Van Schaick. Fulton: ($900)
Create “Literacy Play Centers” (books, props, costumes, writing materials) to help with vocabulary, listening, reading, etc.

Suzanne Bernadt. Hamilton: ($325)
A library program to promote non fiction.

Ellen Mueller MLK: ($600)
To fund a school store where students can cash in good behavior coupons.

Karin Yettru. Woodlawn: ($950)
To bring the Wildlife Learning Company for the whole school on Earth Day. Two presentations will be given and nature hikes will be taken.

Jane Poklemba. Zoller: ($500)
Matching funds for a grant from the Charitable Leadership Foundation for classroom libraries. Possible 500 students will benefit.
