Sarah Telban (2014)
2014 Robert Ludwig Teacher of the Year
Sara is a graduate of Russell Sage College and the College of St. Rose. She began her successful career with the Schenectady City School District in 1998 as a teacher in the high school's Special Education Social/Emotion Program. Sara currently teaches ELA to students with disabilities, and she is also an advisor to the high school's Power of Peace program, a conflict resolution and anti-violence program.
Sara is an active member of the Schenectady Federation of Teachers and has been a dedicated Girl Scout Leader for five years.
Sara also contributes her time to the Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District as a PTA officer, recreational basketball coach, and Booster Club member. She has exhibited the true spirit of the prestigious Teacher of the Year award through her tireless dedication to her students, school, and community.
