She teaches Autistic students. She wants to buy items that provide a variety of self-calming strategies for her students. This will help them develop basic life skills. Assessment will be done through maintenance of a log on the use of the items.

They will do a 3 week arts project with Ready to Learn students (K-3). A dancer and a drummer will teach the kids. This is a mental health program. .Assess by attendance.

She want to purchaser a projector she can hook to a computer so she can show videos, music, show visuals. She teaches5-6 year olds who are visual learners and she teaches in the summer enrichment program. Gives a detailed rationale. Assess: STAR360 program and ELSA bi weekly.

She wants to purchase a Facial Reconstruction kit for her Forensic Anthropology unit. She has 125 students who will learn how to use this to ID crime victims. Assessment: Students will complete a KWL chart.

He will start a Fishing with Friend program for 3rd-5th graders. He ties it to a Behavior program and special ed and trauma sensitive themes.

She wants to buy outdoor recess equipment for the 6th graders. Not much detail. Assessment: Observe and talk to the kids.

He wants to purchase a Luxor Mobile Music Whiteboard. For ma project called Musical math. He does a fairly detailed explanation of use and value in integrating music and math and ties it to state standards. Assessment: They use a google tracking sheet.

She wants to buy ukuleles for her music program She gives great detail on the benefits, how it ties to curriculum, and assessment.

Lencewicz, Kim (lencewicz@sch) MPMS $750
This is an extension of a grant from last year. They will buy CDTA bus passes to be used for field trips and for shopping for their Coffee Cart. 8-12 Intensive Skills students will learn how use public transport and gain basic job, community and life skills. Assessment: pre and post tests

The Science Bowl team competes in the DoE’s Annual Regional Competitions. They would use the money to buy buzzers so they can practice for the timed events.

He want to buy a QBALL throwable mike. It is a fun tool for students and teachers to use in interacting with audiences. It will boost student confidence. He will use it for presentations, classroom, etc.

He wants to buy 10Jamboxx musical instruments for use with special education students. These students cannot use regular instruments, but these allow them to learn music and perform.

All K students and 1-3 SPED class will go on a field trip to Animal land. This is a culminating activity for a science and writing unit. They study life cycles, habitats and incorporate non-fiction and writing. Assessment: Teacher observation, writing, etc. guided by rubrics. $ is for busses.

Hi-5 friends are high school kids who go into elementary classes and read to and work with the young students. Emphasis on character education based on reading a discussion of Hi-5 for Building Pride book. Assess=90% of pre-school kids

He will buy a RODE RodeCaster Pro, a Podcast/Radio Production device in order to create an Oneida MS “radio station” for which students would create the content. This is a modern form of more authentic assessment to provide students alternative ways to communicate mastery. Detailed description. Assessment: Rubrics will be used for regular assessment and there are the podcasts. Will also track attendance.

Flexible seating for 25 kindergarten students as part of a trauma sensitive environment. She describes alternative work areas and seating and cites evidence to support effectiveness. Fairly detailed description of purchases, reasons, and activities. Assessment: teacher will collect data on student achievements and compare the data to previous years.

This will fund a floating classroom field trip on Lake George. Lots of details on benefits and ties to curriculum. Assess: Regents exam results, student survey, comprehensive log

She wants to buy special floor decals for the hall ways to create an environment that will help students to cope with their learning environment by giving them movement breaks. She will use teacher feedback, STAR360 test results, etc. as part of the assessment. It is part of the trauma sensitive school rationale.

She gives a detailed explanation of why they are needed, how they will be used, and how she will monitor the use and effectiveness. Improved performances in lessons, rehearsals and performances.
