Baran, Andrea Van Corlaer $808.55
She wants to buy 3 Remo tubanos, 1 tubano frame drum and 1 ocean drum for use with K-6 students. They help students develop musical and physical skills. District will not buy these. Students will convert poetry into music working in groups.  Assessment by observation, performance, and self-evaluation reports.

David, Lisa, et.al.: Pleasant Valley $533
50 5th. grade Students will go on a field trip to the Mabee Farm. They will learn about Colonial life and arts and about early 20c. arts. Students will complete a scavenger hunt, complete a painting, and write letters of thanks.

Edgar-Johnson, Jennifer: SHS $778
The 11th & 12grade IB PLC wants to take 40 IB students to Capital Rep’s production of Hamlet. Assessment: Discussion, student presentations and 12th grade IB students take an Internal Assessment which includes material on Hamlet.

Gaboury, Roger: SHS  $554.45
He will pay for a teleconference with an original Freedom Writer and purchase books by and about Freedom Writers for his 3 12th grade Regents classes (about 90 students).  Students will read and write about the Freedom Writers and watch a video.

Assessment: written student reflections, written reports on the student lit circles etc.

Hopkins,Tom & Freeman, Lynette:Success Academy MS $535.55
They will buy English & Social Studies fiction texts for implementing new Common Core Standards. This will provide individualized reading for students with differing abilities and needs. Students will do formative & summative assessments & self-eval.

LaMora, Katie: SHS  $389
She will buy a life size replica of the human skeleton for use in her Biology classes. For assessment students will complete a worksheet.

Longe, Lisa: Zoller, FDR, MLK, Paige, PV  $1224.80
She will buy music white boards for each of these schools, because she teaches in odd rooms without normal teaching equipment. Others will also use them. They will be used to teach students how to read music & for individualization.  Performance will be used for assessment.

Los, Sheila: SHS $646.25
She wants to buy 15 pairs of tap shoes for Dance students who study Tap Dancing in a number of different courses/units. Students will do self -reflective writing and will demonstrate mastery through performances. They will create a video.

Neumann, Christine & Eighmie, Pam:  SHS  $600
Materials will be purchased for the creation of Interactive Student Notebooks to be used daily for note taking by their Repeater Algebra & IB Geometry students. Assessment: student products, student attitudes, etc. Included photos of examples.

Parrella, Stephanie et.al.:  Van Corlaer  $1790
They will take 4 first grade classes & 2 Kindergarten classes to Animal land.  For assessment students will write an animal research report.

Pray, Keith  & Gleason,David:  $1067.97 SHS
$ is used to buy new guitars and bass guitars for the SHS Jazz Band and jazz Ensemble so that students who cannot afford to buy instruments have some to use. Assessment—student and teacher written reflections and performances.

Schaefer, Molly:  MPMS  $700
She will take 30 French students to Ravenous Creperie in Saratoga. She wants us to pay the cost or help pay the cost. Students will use their French, understand the cultural significance of the crepe, and experience the making of a crepe. Students will write a paragraph on the experience.

Scorzelli, Julie & Cahgill, Jeff: Keane $264 
They will bring in the Scotia-Glenville Traveling Museum for a presentation on ocean life for third graders. There will be pre and post assessments.

Vacca, Leanne: Van Corlaer    $559
Shen wants to take her 26 students on a Boston Duck Tour trip. We would be paying for admission. Assessment:  photo/video projects done by the students.
